well that was quick!

i had hoped to reach 100 sales by the end of this week, but after being featured on the front page again, 100 came and went before i even noticed! so, you know what that means....
drumroll please...

GIVEAWAY!!!

i just can't help myself... had to share the love since that is what i am feeling from this little shop o'mine. and from all of you, of course. it has been such and adventure already and i am excited to see what more is in store.

so, what's up for grabs, you ask?
since i am turning the big 3-0 on sunday, i will pick a winner to receive $30 towards anything in my shop. that means YOU pick what you want. k? sound good?

and how do you enter? the usual:
(please leave a comment for each of the following)

1. blog about it
2. announce it on facebook
3. tweet about it
4. send me a birthday present (just kidding!
sort of.)
5. become an allora handmade follower if you aren't already
6. comment to let me know what other kinds of designs you'd like to see
7. make a purchase (and if you win, I will credit you back the $30!)
8. comment with ideas on how to not have a mid-life crisis at 30

that means you have 8 possible ways to enter!!

i will pick the winner on sunday (though i probably won't announce until monday) and who knows... it could be you!

thank you again for your support and kindness.

oh, and one more sneak peek:

yep. those are earrings. can you imagine?!? to diiiiiiee for. more christmas-y accessories coming soon!

love it- those earrings may make me want to get my ears pierced! Please please make plenty of red designs for the holidays- especially Christmas! I think some silver and red bow would be a fantastic addition to a New Year's Eve outfit! As a special treat- make a cardigan with a bow combo for a extra-special holiday outfit!

LOVE LOVE LOVE those red earrings! So super cute! Oh, and I love my headband you made me (the small gray frederica)... I have gotten a TON of comments on it, refer your shop to all!

I would really like to see some little girl designs... maybe little headbands or clips. My daughter is 3 with really fine hair, I think these would look adorable!

I'd love to see some designs that incorporate lace, like the lace you use to tie on your allora handmade card to the necklace. It would be cute!

I'd love to see smaller scale jewelry for little girls in your shop!

Re: the mid-life crisis... don't go crazy and dye your hair black then chop it off a few weeks later. Been there, done that and it just messed up my hair! :)

just keep doing what you're doing...love your stuff. i don't have suggestions because i couldn't dream up the cuteness you create!

since i just recently turned 30 :) i'm an expert in this area. what you need to do, is have your husband send you on a shopping spree weekend with a couple girlfriends... get some cute new clothes to reinforce how gorgeous you are, get a man-pedi, eat lots of yummy food, maybe get a massage and you'll come back feeling like you can conquer the world. ;)

How to avoid a mid life crisis:
I would probably give my current life an overhaul. New clothes, new outlook on life. Personally, it's not about work, life is more important than working yourself to death. And this is coming from someone who loves their job, but doesn't make it my soul priority
:) Family & Friends are more important to me :)

Congrats on 100 sales, Here's to 100 more!
Happy almost birthday !

I'd love to see some of the designs, especially the flowers, made into pins. They'd be so cute as a brooch or on a felted purse!

Love the earrings and many of the new designs. I'm saving up to make a purchase soon! (Life of a husband in school, which you know all too well.)

Ideas: With winter coming I would love a great broche for my jacket, hats, or a yummy scarf.

Oh, and 30 is the new 20 so keep living it up! You're adorable as it is, age has no factor.

Unknown said...

Just to clarify my broche idea (because I see that you make small ones now), I like a bigger broche like a cluster as you do the necklaces.

As for the age...I know how you feel, but in the end 30 is just a number...
I love this quote since I'm 30:
It's not the years in your life that count, It's the life in your years

I just spent 10 minutes typing my advice on how not to let 30 get you down. I wasn't connected to my internet and lost it all. :( Fortunately I've told you a lot of my thoughts in another post. To save time, I just posted on Facebook. :D We can do turning 30 wisdom another time.

I love the new custom bobby pins! They are something I'd totally wear. Oh, and I would so love to see a headband made with the fabric made from the gaia headband instead of crochet, but only a single red rose :)

Do you sell your stuff to retail stores or do you have your own store front? I used to work at a darling little boutique in Salt Lake that carries things with your look. Just wondering.... :)

Advice for avoiding a crisis at 30 - don't sweat the age! Can't stop it happening so go with it - it really does only get better. You get more confidence in yourself and your beliefs. Wish I knew at 30 what I knew at 40 (I'm 43 now).
Thanks
Susan

my advise to not have a midlife crisis at 30 is similar to that of my fifteen year old self, only slightly different, here goes
'to avoid having a midlife crisis at 30 just keep being fabulous, only try twice as hard!'
